The next scheduled meeting of the GIS Colorado Health Users Group (CHUG) will be held on
Friday, February 19, 2010, from 2:00 to 3:30pm in Denver at the University of Colorado Denver, Facility for Advanced Spatial Technology (FAST Lab). The FAST Lab is located at 1200 Larimer Street, Suite 5032/33, North Classroom Bldg. in Denver. Take the elevator on the SE corner of the North Classroom Building to the 5th
floor and follow the hallway all the way around.
The meeting will include a presentation from Dr. Peter Anthamatten (Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences, UC-Denver) entitled "Exploring the Geographies of Childhood Obesity. A flyer for the meeting can be downloaded

We look forward to having any professionals, students, or faculty interested in learning more about the application of GIS in Public Health in attendance.

Upcoming Training
Upcoming training classes including Accessing Spatial Data and SDE, Introduction to GIS, and Intermediate GIS will be scheduled soon for the spring and summer. Check CO.Train or call 303-692-2246 for more info.
These classes are open to all CDPHE employees who have completed the Introduction to GIS training. Employees of other state and local agencies may also attend, on a space-available basis.
